Akon Talks of Relationship with Michael

Akon said last week that Michael Jackson was seemingly great health after working with the deceased megastar over the last years of his life. He has just been working on preliminary material for his next album. Akon stated that he was in shock “because Michael is just one of the healthiest people that I know.” He said all the speculation of Michael’s health was from those who were not close enough to know this information.

Akon spoke of Michael would mentor him through his career and was always caring about what he was doing and how he looked after himself, “Personally, he was a mentor; he was like a big brother. He always kept me focused. If I had issues, he would console me through them.”

Reportable Jackson was putting all his energies into the upcoming tour of Europe with his 50 at the O2 in London selling 50 concerts. His excitement about the popularity of the series of concerts selling out had supposedly energized Jackson. Akon talked of Jackson’s excitement, "Man. We sold this out in a minute. My fans are still there. They still love me. They're alive."

Of the material that was recorded between the two, Akon will respect the wishes of the Jackson family with regards to how and if it will ever see the light of day.
